KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Haji Aman officiated at the opening of Unicorn, Lion and Dragon performance at the Sports complex multipurpose hall in Likas, today, in conjunction for the forthcoming Chinese New Year celebration on 28th and 29th this month.

Some 115 troupes from 49 teams participated at the event organised by the United Sabah Chinese Communities Association of Kota Kinabalu.

At the event Musa also presented the State government’s contribution of RM50,000 to the organiser received by the association’s president, Datuk Susan Wong.

The State government also donated several lion heads to be used by the assoaciation’s members to perform the lions dances.

Also in attendance were several State ministers including the Minister of Special Task, Datuk Teo Chee Kang.

Others were Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment, Datuk Masidi Manjun, Minister of Youth and Sports, Datuk Tawfiq Abu Bakar Titingan, Chinese consul general for Sabah, Chen Pei Jie, Federation of Huang Association of Malaysia’s president, Datuk Wong Ten An, Deputy State Legislative Assembly, Datuk Johnson Tee and several Assistant ministers and as well as presidents of the Sabah Chinese chambers and associations.
